The Light Within
Even when the pathway twists and turns, even around the edges of shaded trees and starlit nights, watch, wait for the // moment // its opens--when it softly sings, whistles, whispers. "This way. Here." Feel the pathway into the light inside your heart. And then, when you stand at the edge of a hill so big and so tallthat even the Light that you follow hides just beyond the horizon--let the Light that is in you, following the Light that is out youlet is pulse, remembering their unity And when all of the light is a firefly in the summer's nightAnd it feels like no one, no where, no who is there for you-- Listen-- for the hoot of an owl.Listen-- for the beat of your own heart. And when you don't even know whether the visions are light, or dark, for even what they might mean--Ask yourself,"Where is the light?Where is the light?" And then, follow that again. And again. And again. Follow the specks of lightthe rays of lightthe glowing lightthe fireflies' lightthe shadows as they reveal the lightthe light within and watch whether it comes alive.
