Patience
‘Patience’
Jane Mayer, 2021
Waiting for the flower to ripen and bloom,
allowing each petal to become what she is
without forcing
projecting
judging
anticipating
this is the realm of the masters
and then, letting go, of even the word ‘waiting’
and instead, breathing myself into full presence
with what is
becoming witness
a loving watch
opening the eyes of my heart
to fully receive the beauty of each reality
this is the invitation now
to see the perfection of what already is
of what we already are
to what exists between us, to what this already is
this Love, this ancient web we’re weaving awake
teaching me
presence
gratitude
acceptance
truth
worth
beauty
value
surrender
allowing what is
to fully ripen and open
showing me is utter magnificence
feeling its inextricable beauty
staying awake and open and here
with the tiniest and most exquisite fractals of perfection
to what always and already was
beyond all my egoic desires
and to weep in gratitude
for all I couldn’t see
until you broke my heart wide open
